ITV is teaming up with Broen (AKA The Bridge) creator Hans Rosenfeldt for Marcella, an eight episode contemporary crime drama series set in London which is being hailed as "Scandinavian noir on the streets of Britain". The project, which is the first Rosenfeldt has created specificially for the UK market, is set to enter production in the capital this Autumn for a 2016 premiere. Lifetime UK has snapped up the pay-TV rights to Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig's upcoming TV movie A Deadly Adoption, TVWise has learned. The Prime Suspect prequel is moving forward. ITV has handed out a six episode series order to the project, which has been in the works for more than a year, every since Prime Suspect creator Lynda La Plante announced in 2014 that she was writing a prequel novel titled Tennison, which would also be adapted for television.
