Comedy Central UK To Air All 236 Episodes Of ‘Friends’

FriendsComedy Central UK is celebrating the 21st anniversary of Friends in a big way. The VIMN backed channel has announced that to mark the 21st anniversary of the series premiere of Friends on NBC in 1994, they will air all 236 episodes of the ground-breaking sitcom in order, from the pilot all the way through to the series finale, beginning on Monday August 24th.

E4 Acquires UK Rights To ‘Containment’ & ‘Rush Hour’ In WB Deal

E4 has closed a multi-year deal with Warner Bros International Television Distribution to acquired the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to The CW's Cordon adaptation Containment and CBS' Rush Hour reboot, TVWise has learned. Both series are expected to premiere on E4 in 2016.

Netflix’s ‘Sense8’ Renewed For Second Season

Sense8Netflix has handed out a second season order to Sense8, their sci-fi series from Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski and The Matrix's Lana Wachowski and Andy Wachowski. It is not immediately clear how many episodes have been ordered for the show's second season.

‘Honey I Bought The House’ Picked Up To Series At Watch

UKTV is moving forward with their push into factual entertainment with Honey I Bought The House. After piloting the project last year as part of their Format Labs Initiative, UKTV flagship entertainment channel Watch has picked up the format for a full series. Eight episodes have been ordered for the show's first season.
