BBC One Orders Organised Crime Drama ‘McMafia’ From Curtis Brown’s Cuba Pictures

BBC One has given the green-light to McMafia, an ambitious "event" thriller series set in the complex world of organised crime which hails from Hossein Amini, James Watkins and Cuba Pictures - the production division of leading literary and talent agency Curtis Brown.

Viacom Restructures MTV UK and Comedy Central UK Programming Teams Under Louise Holmes

Louise HolmesViacom International Media Networks UK are restructuring the programming management teams for both MTV UK and Comedy Central UK. Louise Holmes, who has been serving as VP of Programming for Comedy Central UK since 2013, has been named Vice-President of Linear and Multi-Platform Programming and will lead a new "combined creative" team, with responsibility for both MTV UK and Comedy Central UK. She will report directly to Jill Offman, Managing Director of Comedy Central UK and MTV UK.

Peter Firth, Eve Myles & Rufus Sewell Join ITV’s ‘Victoria’

ITV has set the cast for Victoria. Peter Firth (Spooks: The Greater Good), Eve Myles (You, Me & Them) and Rufus Sewell (The Man In The High Castle) have signed on for co-starring roles opposite Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) in the eight episode royal drama from Daisy Goodwin and Poldark indie Mammoth Screen, TVWise has learned.
