Maria Friedman, Mel Giedroyc Join ITV’s ‘The Sound Of Music Live!’
ITV is continuing to add to the cast of The Sound Of Music Live! Maria Friedman (The Woman in White, Chicago) and Mel Giedroyc (Sadie J, The Great British Bake Off) have landed co-starring roles opposite lead Kara Tointon in ITV's live production based on the original musical, which is set to air this Christmas. 

After serving as Acting Head of Comedy for the past two months, Jon Mountague has been officially promoted to the post. He succeeds Lucy Lumsden, who stepped down as Sky's Head of Comedy in September. Elsewhere, Sky1 Director Adam MacDonald is getting an expanded brief as part of an executive restructure following Stuary Murphy's exit and will now add responsibility for Pick and Sky Living to his remit.
Comedy Central UK has renewed Drunk History, their local adaptation of the U.S. format of the same name, for a second season, TVWise has learned. Eight episodes have been ordered for the show's second season, which is set to premiere in 2016.
Food Network is getting into business with The Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood. The Scripps owned channel has given the green-light to Paul Hollywood's City Bakes, an ten episode travelogue series that follows Hollywood as he travels the world to explore local cuisine. 
BBC One has released the trailer for their upcoming three-part drama Capital starring Toby Jones, which is set to premiere on Tuesday November 24th at 9pm.
Disney is adding some star-power to Doc McStuffins. Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon has signed on for a guest starring role on the kids series and will lend her voice to a character for the show's recently ordered fourth season. The episode featuring Alesha Dixon, titled Winded Winnie, will air in 2016. In said episode Dixon will voice Winnie, an antique tiger with a love for inflating balloons who has lost her puff.
