The second season of TV Land's original comedy series Younger will receive its UK premiere on Sony Channel on Wednesday July 27th at 9pm, it has been announced. The show's twelve episode second season picks up after the season one finale, in which Liza (Sutton Foster) let her secret slip to sexy young tattoo artist Josh (Nico Tortorella). 
BBC One has ordered The Witness For The Prosecution, a two-part adaptation of the Agatha Christie short story of the same name from The Casual Vacancy scribe Sarah Phelps, Poldark indie Mammoth Screen and Agatha Christie Productions, TVWise has learned. 
UKTV has inked a "landmark" deal with Virgin Media which gives the cable company more than 10, 000 hours of UKTV content across original series and US & UK acquisitions, including a wealth of programmes from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

ITV is extending the run of Maigret. The commercial broadcaster has ordered a further two TV movies based on the novels by Georges Simonen which will again star Rowan Atkinson as Maigret, TVWise has learned. 
Comedy Central UK has ordered a pilot for an as-yet untitled comedy-entertainment series which will be fronted by comedian Chris Ramsey, TVWise has learned. The untitled pilot will feature Ramsey and guest comedians ‘taking a fast-paced look at the stories everybody has been talking about and sharing via social media`, via a mixture of regular and random games, pre-recorded items and audience interaction in an informal studio setting.
