Frank Spotnitz’s Big Light Poaches Eleven’s Jamie Hall For COO Role
Frank Spotnitz's indie Big Light Produtions has poached Eleven's Head of Production & Commercial Affairs Jamie Hall to serve in the newly created role of Chief Operations Officer, TVWise has learned. Jamie Hall will have a wide range of responsibilities, including, but not limited to, managing operations and overseeing the company’s strategic partnerships and financing for entertainment projects. He took up post last month and is based out of the company's London office. 
Wentworth Prison is on the move. Channel 5 is moving the Australian drama series, which is an update of 1980s hit Prisoner: Cell Bock H, from their main channel to digi-net 5Star. 
Channel 4 is doubling down on Catastrophe. The broadcaster has handed out a two-season renewal to the hit comedy series from Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney, TVWise has learned. 12 episodes have been ordered, which will be split evenly across the show's third and fourth seasons. 
ITV2 has renewed unscripted hit Ibiza Weekender for an extended sixth season, TVWise has learned. Ten episodes have been ordered for the new season, up from the eight episodes that comprised season five 
Jennifer Esposito is returning to the CBS fold. The former Blue Bloods star, who was let go from the Tom Selleck fronted procedural in 2012, has joined the cast of NCIS as a series regular for its fourteenth season, TVWise has learned. 
BBC Two has released the first two-teaser images from the upcoming third and final season of the psychological thriller The Fall, which is set to premiere this Autumn. The two images in question show Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, American Gods) and Jamie Dornan (Once Upon A Time, Fifty Shades Of Grey) in character as Detetective Superintendent Stella Gibson, on secondment to the PSNI from London's Metropolitan Police Service, and Paul Spector, a serial killer who has been terrorising Belfast, respectively. 
Sky1 is adding to the cast of Jamestown. Raoul Trujillo (Neverland, Da Vinci’s Demons). Kalani Queypo (The Royal Tenebaums, Saints & Strangers) and Roseanne Supernault (Blackstone, The Drive) have boarded the eight episode period drama, which hails from Downton Abbey production company Carnival Films, TVWise has learned. 
UK Public Service Broadcasters have increased their spend on drama in real terms in the past year, compared to 2014, while spending on kids content and comedy has dropped in real terms in the same time period, it has emerged.
