Following a heated bidding war, involving multiple UK broadcasters, Spike UK has struck a deal with international distributor Sky Vision for exclusive UK rights to ABC's rebooted Battlebots, TVWise has learned. The 'substantial' multi-season deal with Sky Vision will also see Spike UK share rights with sister net Channel 5. Battlebots will initally air on Spike UK this Summer, before airing on Channel 5 at a later date.

After a months long search, ITV has found the lead actress for their Prime Suspect prequel series Tennison. Stefanie Martini, who is coming off of a starring role in NBC's upcoming The Wizard Of Oz series Emerald City, will take on the part of a Jane Tennison - the role played by Dame Helen Mirren in Prime Suspect between 1991 and 2006. Martini's previous credits include Doctor Thorne and Endeavour.
