Pivot Closure Won’t Impact ‘Fortitude’ Season 2

EXCLUSIVE: Participant Media announced yesterday that owing to the tough landscape for standalone cable networks, Pivot - a brand aimed at millennials - would be closing its doors. The network was best known for serving as the U.S. co-producer for Sky Atlantic's Fortitude since 2013, after the initial U.S. co-producer, premium cable network Starz, backed out. That had left some to question what, if any, affect Pivot's closure would have on the Arctic-set drama, but TVWise can now reveal that it will not impact the series.

Netflix Boards BBC America’s ‘Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency’

NetflixNetflix has come on-board BBC America's original series Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, starring Samuel Barnett (Penny Dreadful) and Elijah Wood (The Lord Of The Rings), TVWise has learned. Under their deal, the streaming giant will now co-produce and serve as the exclusive broadcaster of the eight episode comedic thriller series in more than 100 international territories, including the UK.
