BBC One has ordered a one-off half-hour animated adaptation of kids book The Highway Rat from independent production company Magic Light Pictures, TVWise has learned. The adaptation is set to be a key part of BBC One's 2017 Christmas schedule.

Joy Of Techs, a half-hour tech format fronted by real-life friends Marcus Brigstocke and Alexis Conran, has been been picked up to series by UKTV's Dave channel with a ten episode order, TVWise has learned. The series is set to premiere in 2017.
