Channel 5's digi-net 5Star has acquired the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to Syfy's anthology series Channel Zero after striking a deal with international distributor NBCUniversal International Distribution, TVWise has learned. 
BBC Two has inked a new deal with Zodiak Rights to secure the UK broadcast rights to the ten episode second season of lavish Canal+ period drama Versailles, TVWise has learned. Additionally, Amazon Prime Video UK has secure SVOD rights to Versailles season two, and will make it available to subscribers shortly after the linear broadcast window on BBC Two. 
Suspects is the latest UK originated drama format to travel. German broadcaster RTL has commissioned a local adaptation of the format, which was originally devised by FremantleMedia UK’s Newman Street Managing Director Paul Marquess for Channel 5, TVWise has learned. 
After successfully reviving the series for a sixth season some thirteen years after it initially concluded its run, ITV has renewed Cold Feet for a seventh season, TVWise has learned. Eight episodes have been ordered for season seven, matching the size of the order for the sixth season revival. Original series creator Mike Bullen will once again be returning to pen the scripts for the new season, which is set to enter production in Manchester next March. 
NBC's time-travel drama Timeless has found a UK home. Channel 4's youth-skewing digi-channel E4 has secured the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to the series after striking a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television, TVWise has learned. 
The Cazalet Chronicles is heading to the small screen. Sid Gentle Films Ltd - the indie behind ITV's The Durrells and BBC One's upcoming SS-GB - is developing a TV series based on the series of novels by Elizabeth Jane Howard after acquiring the rights to all five books, TVWise has learned. 
Dancing Ledge Productions has inked a deal with HarperCollins to acquire the TV rights to Alistar Maclean's series of novels, TVWise has learned. The first novel being adapted under this deal is San Andreas, a thriller set on board a torpedoed WW2 hospital ship as it attempts to make its way back across the North Atlantic to Scotland while a saboteur picks off members of the crew. The Secret Agent scribe Tony Marchant is attached to pen the script.
