E! UK Drops ‘The Royals’ After Two Seasons
EXCLUSIVE: The Royals - the scripted drama series about the personal lives of a fictional British Royal Family - has lost its UK broadcaster. TVWise can exclusively reveal that E! UK & Ireland has opted not to renew their licensing deal for the series with international distributor Lionsgate Television; leaving The Royals without a UK home just as the third season has started airing in the United States. 
The Whispers is coming to the UK. Out of an existing agreement with Disney, Sky has picked up the exclusive rights to the short-lived ABC sci-fi series for a release through their On-Demand service. The complete series will be available on Sky Box Sets from Friday January 13th.
UKTV's Dave channel has picked up gaming panel show Dara O Briain’s Go 8 Bit for a further two seasons, TVWise has learned. A total of twenty episodes have been ordered, which are expected to be evenly split across the show's second and third seasons.
CBS's comedy series The Great Indoors will receive its UK premiere on ITV2 on Monday January 9th at 9:30pm, it has been announced.
Amazon Prime Video's original series Sneaky Pete will premiere on Friday January 13th, when the show's first season will be available to stream.
The fourth season of ABC's comedy series The Goldbergs will receive its UK premiere on E4 on Tuesday January 10th at 8pm with a double-bill, it has been announced.
BBC One's new high-profile drama series Taboo, which is a co-production with US cable network FX, will premiere on Saturday January 7th at 9pm, it has been announced.
The seventh season of CBS' drama series Blue Bloods will receive its UK premiere on Sky Atlantic on Wednesday January 11th at 9pm, it has been announced.
