More4 Takes Linear Rights To Starz’s ‘Outlander’

Outlander is coming to traditional television in the UK. Channel 4 has secured the linear broadcast rights to Starz's time-travel drama for their digi-net More4 after striking a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television, TVWise has learned. The show's first season will launch on More4 later this month.

‘Luther’ Is Back: BBC One Orders Fifth Season

Luther is returning to television. Close to two years after the two-episode fourth season aired, BBC One has pulled the trigger and renewed the series for another season. Four episodes have been ordered for the show's fifth season.

UPDATE: FOX UK Shifts ‘Baskets’ Season 2 To Sunday Nights

UPDATE, June 9th: In a late schedule change, FOX UK is moving Baskets to a new night for it's second season. The channel has announced that rather than continuing in the Thursday night slot, the show's sophomore run will now kick off on Sunday June 18th at 10pm. No reason was given for the change.

BBC Two Acquires UK Rights To FX’s ‘Feud’, Eyes Late 2017 Premiere For ‘Bette And Joan’

Ryan Murphy's latest anthology series had found a UK home. BBC Two has secured the UK rights to FX Networks' drama series Feud after striking a deal with international distributor Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, TVWise has learned. An anthology drama that explores different famous feuds, the first season, which will premiere on BBC Two later this year, is subtitled 'Bette And Joan' and explores the bitter rivalry between Hollywood stars Bette Davis and Joan Crawford.

Entertainment One Hires DRG Exec Noel Hedges For Acquisitions Role

Entertainment One (eOne) is adding an executive to their ranks. The independent studio has brought on-board DRG executive Noel Hedges to serve in the newly created position of Executive Vice-President of Acquisitions, eOne Television. Hedges, who starts with the company in September, will be based in eOne’s London office and will oversee teams in both the big smoke and Toronto.
