Frank Spotnitz’s Big Light Productions Hires Wall To Wall, Red Execs For Originals Push
Big Light Production is adding to its executive ranks. Frank Spotnitz's indie has hired Wall To Wall development producer Frances Flannery and Red Production Company's Emily Feller as the company is looking to expand their slate of original programming, under the stewardship of Head of Drama Katie McAleese. Flannery will serve as Head of Development and will be responsible for building the Big Light's original development slate and strategy; while Feller will serve as an executive producer. 
The Night Shift is changing homes here in the UK. Sony Channel, who aired the show's first three seasons, has lost first window rights to the NBC medical drama to Netflix UK. The streaming service acquired The Night Shift in a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television, TVWise has confirmed. 
And just a month after the LA Screenings, we have our first deal for a new show from the upcoming 2017-2018 broadcast season. Netflix UK, as part of a wider deal agreed by the streaming service's global acquisitions team in LA and CBS Studios International, has secured the exclusive UK rights to The CW's Dynasty reboot series, which is set to premiere state-side in October. 
It's official: How To Get Away With Murder is returning to the UK. After weeks of rumours, TVWise can confirm that Sky Living has indeed closed a deal with Disney Media Distribution to secure the exclusive rights to the ABC drama in a multi-season agreement. 
Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later will receive its UK premiere on Netflix UK on Friday August 4th, it has been announced. Set ten years after the original 2001 feature film and the prequel series First Day Of Camp, Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later sees the original characters reuniting in a new eight episode limited series. 
The fourth season of Chicago PD will receive its UK premiere on 5USA on Thursday July 6th at 9pm, it has been announced. 
The third and final season of HBO's The Leftovers will receive its UK premiere on Sky Atlantic on Tuesday July 4th at 10pm with a double-bill, it has been announced.
