BBC Four Returns To Single Drama With ‘Eric, Ernie & Me’; Acquires German Drama ‘Reformation’ & More
After abandoning them several years ago, BBC Four is making a return to single drama with a green-light for Eric, Ernie & Me, which tells the story of comedy scriptwriter Eddie Braben. The announcement was made by BBC Four Channel Editor Cassian Harrison as the Edinburgh International Television Festival. 
Alan Partridge is returning to the BBC! The Beeb is set to bring back the iconic character played by Steve Coogan for a special on BBC Two commemorating the 25th anniversary of Partidge's first appearance on BBC Radio in 1992, and a new series on BBC One.
BBC One has unveiled a wealth of new commissions across factual and entertainment, including documentaries on the Grenfell Tower fire and the Stephen Lawrence murder, a season on obesity and a new game show titled The Button.
