Sky Living Secures UK Rights To ABC’s ‘The Good Doctor’

We have our first post-LA Screenings deal. Sky Living has secured the UK broadcast rights to ABC's medical drama The Good Doctor, starring Bates Motel's Freddie Highmore, a representative of the satcaster confirmed to TVWise. The series is distributed internationally by Sony Pictures Television.

Sky1 is broadening their 2018 drama slate. The satcaster has renewed their Stan Lee drama series Lucky Man, starring James Nesbitt, for a third season; and ordered Bulletproof, a new police drama starring Noel Clarke and Ashley Walter. The announcements come ahead of Sky1 Director Adam MacDonald's Meet The Controller session at the Edinburgh International Television Festival.

ITV2 is heading to the Savannah. The digi-net has given the green-light to Survival Of The Fittest, a new entertainment series set in the South Africa that hails from the makers of Love Island.

Netflix Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Designated Survivor’ Season 2

The second season of ABC's drama series Designated Survivor will receive its UK premiere on Netflix UK on Thursday September 28th, it has been announced. New episodes will then continue to be made available to stream every Thursday, less than 24 hours after they initially air on ABC in the United States.
