Channel 5 Acquires NBC’s ‘Will & Grace’ Revival, UK Premiere Set For January 5th

Will & Grace is returning to the UK. Channel 5 has secured the exclusive UK rights to the revival series after striking a deal with international distributor NBCUniversal International Distribution. The sixteen episode revival, also known as the ninth season of Will & Grace, will premiere on Channel 5 on Friday January 5th at 10pm.

‘Luther’ Creator Neil Cross Inks Overall Deal With FremantleMedia

Neil Cross, creator of BBC One's hit series Luther, has inked an exclusive overall deal with FremantleMedia. Under the agreement, he will work with Euston Films' Kate Harwood and Fremantle Media's Dante Di Loreto to develop a range of high-end drama projects. Projected created and produced through the deal will be distributed globally by FremantleMedia International.

Sky Acquires ‘SEAL Team’ & ‘Instinct’ In Deal With CBSSI

Sky has secured the first window rights to CBS' new drama series Seal Team and Instinct after striking a deal with international distributor CBS Studios International. SEAL Team will air on Sky One, while Instinct will air on Sky Living. Both series are expected to premiere on this side of the pond in 2018.

Endemol Shine International Sells ‘Gunpowder’ To HBO Europe

BBC One's Gunpowder is heading to the continent. International distributor Endemol Shine International has sold the Kit Harrington fronted miniseries to HBO Europe, who will air it across the Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe and Spain later this year. Endemol previously sold Gunpowder to HBO in North America.

Universal Channel Sets UK Return Date For ‘Major Crimes’ Season 6

Major Crimes will return to Universal Channel to finish airing its sixth and final season from Monday January 22nd at 9pm, it has been announced. The series goes on a brief six-week hiatus for the festive period following the broadcast of 'Sanctuary City: Part 5' on Monday December 11th.
