Joker Productions Hires Julie Link As Managing Director
Indie Joker Productions has hired former Critical Content and Relativity Television executive Julie Link to serve as Managing Director. She succeeds former Managing Director Patrick Ach, who has left the company. As MD of Joker, she will focus on ramping up originals, development, and expanding the global reach of its formats, factual and scripted production and distribution business. Florian Reinhardt, Creative Director, and Julian Lerch, Head of Programs, remain shareholders of the company and lead creatives. 
Love Island stars Chris and Kem are returning to ITV2. The digi-net has given the green-light to a new social-media directed reality series fronted by the duo titled You Vs. Chris And Kem, which is in a similar vein to Dave's
UKTV's Really channel has given the green-light to Renovate Don't Relocate, a twenty episode property series fronted by Sarah Beeny. The series, which hails from Outline Productions, is set to air on Really in 2019.
Fresh off of the conclusion of his three-part A Very English Scandal adaptation, BBC One and former Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. Davies are teaming together once again for new drama series Years And Years, which charts the lives of a single family over 15 years in a Britain rocked by unstable political, economic and technological advances.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will return to Netflix UK with the back half of the show's fourth season on Friday January 25th, it has been announced.
After airing all of the TV movies that spawned it, Movies 24 has picked up the Good Witch TV series. The NBCU owned and operated channel has secured the linear rights to the Catherine Bell fronted drama after striking an agreement with ITV Studios Global Entertainment. The first season of Good Witch will premiere on Movies 24 on Sunday July 1st at 3pm and will air in double-bills each week.
Six is getting a second UK home. History UK has secured second window rights to the SEAL Team drama starring Walton Goggins (Justified, The Shield) after striking an agreement with international distributor A+E Networks. This deal has no impact on the prior licensing agreement between Channel 5 and A+E Networks. C5's 5Spike retains first window rights to Six and are expected to air the show's second season later this year. The first season of Six will premiere on History UK on Sunday June 24th at 10pm.
Jamie Bamber (The Smoke, Battlestar Galactica) is joining the cast of the Sky One and Cinemax co-production Strike Back for its upcoming seventh season. Bamber will play Colonel Alexander Coltrane, the new commanding officer of Section 20. Also joining the cast this season is Yasemin Allen (Water And Fire), who will play Katrina Zarkova - a rogue Russian operative with questionable loyalties. The join returning cast members Warren Brown (Luther), Daniel MacPherson (The Shannara Chronicles) and Alin Sumarwata (Neighbours).
