Sky Vision Inks Life-Of-Series Distribution Deal For ‘Britannia’ With Altice

Sky Vision - Sky's production and international distribution division - has secured a life-of-series distribution agreement with French broadcaster and platform Altice for Sky Atlantic's period drama Britannia. Additionally, under this deal, Altice Studios will now serve as a co-producer on all future seasons of the show.

Sky One’s ‘Curfew’ Adds ‘The O.C.’ Star Adam Brody

Sky One' eight episode street racing drama series Curfew has added former The O.C. star Adam Brody to its already impressive cast. Brody, who played Seth Cohen on the Fox teen drama, has been cast as - and kudos to Sky's press office for the alliteration here - mysterious megalomaniac millionaire Max Larssen.

DRG Hires All3Media International Exec Lucy Roberts For CEE Sales Role

International distributor DRG has hired for All3Media International executive Lucy Roberts to serve as their Senior Sales Manager for Central & Eastern Europe and French Speaking Territories. At All3Media, Lucy Roberts served as Format Sales Manager for EMEA North. Prior to that she held key sales posts at both Keshe International and BBC Worldwide (now know as BBC Studios). She started her career in the industry at ITV Studios Global Entertainment. Roberts takes up post at DRG in London this week and will report to the company's Executive Vice-President of Sales Elin Thomas. She will also work closely with Adam Barth, whose recent promotion to Senior Vice-President for EMEA has seen an extension of his role and territory remit.

BBC Four Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘The Plague’

Spanish period drama The Plague will receive its UK premiere on BBC Four on Saturday September 1st at 9pm with a double-bill, it has been announced.

Channel 4 Orders Blaps From Nida Manzoor & Rose Matafeo

Channel 4 has ordered two new Blaps: Lady Parts, from writer/director Nida Manzoor; and Temp, from Rose Matafeo - a comedian, writer and actor from New Zealand. Both Blaps are expected to enter production later this year. Blaps is C4's online comedy showcase in which projects from new talent is incubated with an eye towards earning a full series commission on the main channel or E4. Previous series to emanate from Blaps include Chewing Gum, GameFace, High & Dry, Stath Lets Flats and Lee & Dean - the latter of which was just renewed for a second season.
