BBC One Comedy ‘Hold The Sunset’ Adds Sue Johnston For Season 2
Sue Johnston (The Royle Family, Downton Abbey) has joined the cast of BBC One comedy Hold The Sunset for its second season, which has now started filming ahead of a 2019 premiere “I'm thrilled to be working with such a great cast of actors. Some are new friends and some are old friends - it is a joy to be joining them all”, Johnston said in a statement. 
5Star has renewed Rich Kids Go Skint for an expanded second season of twelve episodes. Additionally, Channel 5's youth-skewing digi-net has handed out a two episode series order to Prison Life: Raw & Real.
W is further expanding their Inside The... franchise. The UKTV owned and operated channel has given the green-light to Inside The Operating Theatre, which has received an order for twenty episodes. The series is expected to air in 2019.
ITV has handed out a fourth season renewal to their hit cold case crime drama Unforgotten. Six episodes have been ordered for the show's fourth season, which is expected to air in 2019. The renewal comes after the season three finale managed a consolidated audience of 6.9 million viewers.
Channel 5 is moving forward with their push into scripted drama. Fresh off of ordering four-part drama Cold Call and acquiring the Adrian Dunbar fronted Blood, the VIMN backed broadcaster has green-lit Clink, 15 Days and a new feature-length murder mystery. The drama push was a big factor in the recent decision to cancel Big Brother, which has freed up a significant amount of cash from the programming budget for said push.
Sky Atlantic has released two first look images from the upcoming second season of Tin Star, which is set to premiere in 2019. 
The eighth and final season of Castle will premiere on 5USA on Wednesday October 3rd at 9pm, it has been announced.
