The CW Renews ‘The Outpost’ For Second Season

The CW has handed out a second season renewal to fantasy series The Outpost, which hails from Dean Devlin and his independent production company Electric Entertainment. The show's second season is expected to premiere in 2019. Through a wide-ranging multi-territory deal between NBCUniversal International Networks and Electric Entertainment, SYFY UK holds first window rights to The Outpost. It has been a ratings success for the genre channel, with episodes averaging a consolidated average audience of just under 200k viewers.

Sky Witness has secured the exclusive UK rights to the procedural after striking a deal with international distributor Entertainment One (eOne). The acquisition underpins Sky's commitment to spend millions on U.S. procedurals for the recently rebranded channel. A UK premiere date has not yet been set.

Netflix Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Season 2
