2018 was a record breaking year for Channel 5 when it comes to their ratings performance amongst ABC1 viewers. All told, upmarket viewers were responsible comprise 44% of Channel 5's audience on average throughout the year - the highest annual percentage in the channel’s history. 
The third season of True Detective will receive its UK premiere on Sky Atlantic on Monday January 14th at 2am, simulcast with HBO’s east-coast feed. The season premiere will also be repeated later that same day in the show’s regular 9pm time-slot. 
The eighth season of Cold Feet will premiere on ITV on Monday January 14th at 9pm, it has been announced. 
The ninth season of Vera will premiere on ITV on Sunday January 13th at 8pm, it has been announced. 
Brooklyn Nine-Nine may be switching networks state-side, but it is staying put in its long-time UK home. E4 has inked a new deal with international distributor NBCUniversal International Distribution to pick up the exclusive UK rights to the show's eighteen episode sixth season. While a firm premiere date has not yet been set, E4 said it would premiere in 2019. 
The third season of Stranger Things will premiere on Netflix UK on Thursday July 4th, it has been announced.
