Acorn TV Renews ‘Agatha Raisin’ For Third Season

Acorn TV has renewed their Ashley Jensen fronted drama Agatha Raisin for a third season. The U.S. streaming service has ordered four feature length episodes for season three - up from the three they ordered for season two. "I am beyond excited to be returning to my high heels with another series of Agatha Raisin with Acorn TV", said series star Ashley Jensen. "I can’t wait to get started on her next fun and frolicsome journey.”

BBC & ITV Eye UK Launch For Streaming Service BritBox

After launching the streaming service state-side last year, the BBC and ITV have confirmed that they are in advanced talks to launch BritBox on this side of the pond. The announcement that the BBC and ITV are now "working on a formal legal agreement" for the streaming service caps off months of rumours that they were looking to launch a British rival to Netflix and Amazon.

ITN Productions has Georgina Madley to serve as their new Head of Development. She has been serving as BBC Studios Head of Development Unscripted Productions since last May. Amazon Prime Video UK Alters Plans For ‘New Amsterdam’: Episode 13 Now Available; Rest Of Season 1 Held Until May 2019

Amazon Prime Video UK has altered their plans for New Amsterdam. When they acquired the Ryan Eggold fronted NBC medical drama, the streaming service announced that the first twelve episodes would be available from February 8th, with new episodes then following every Wednesday. While the first twelve episodes did appear as expected on February 8th, there was no sign of episode thirteen on Prime on Wednesday February 13th. TVWise has reached out to representatives of Amazon Prime Video UK who have confirmed they will not be releasing episodes weekly as previously announced. The thirteen episode is available to stream for UK Prime member as of today (Monday February 25th) and the rest of the season (episodes 14 - 22) will be available for streaming in May.

5USA Acquires NBCU’s Chris Noth FBI Drama ‘Gone’

5USA has acquired the Chris Noth fronted FBI drama Gone after striking a deal with international distributor NBCUniversal International Distribution. The show's twelve episode first season will premiere on the channel next month.
