StarzPlay Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Sweetbitter’ Season 2

The second season of Sweetbitter will receive its UK premiere on StarzPlay on Sunday July 14th, it has been announced. In season two, Tess has the job, and she’s ready to invest in it. She’s all in, but soon realises she won’t survive at the restaurant if she doesn’t play the game. Tess finds her appetite awakened. She’s starving for knowledge but investing in this life means more than knowing the difference between wine from Bordeaux and Burgundy.

‘Death In Paradise’ Season 9 Starts Filming In Guadeloupe

Filming has started on the ninth season of BBC One's Caribbean-set crime drama Death In Paradise. Production is taking place on the French-Caribbean island of Guadeloupe. As TVWise previously reported, Aude Legastelois, who plays Detective Sergeant Madeleine Dumas, has been upped to series regular for season nine. She joins returning cast members Ardal O’Hanlon, Tobi Bakare, Shyko Amos, Don Warrington and Elizabeth Bourgine.

BBC One Cancels Martin Clunes Comedy ‘Warren’

It's one and done for Warren. BBC One has cancelled the Martin Clunes fronted comedy series after a single season of six episodes, TVWise has confirmed. The writing had been on the wall for the series after it struggled to pull in a sizeable audience in its Monday night slot.

Joe Sugg To Guest Star In Cartoon Network’s ‘The Amazing World Of Gumball’

YouTuber and Strictly runner up Joe Sugg has landed a guest spot on Cartoon Network's The Amazing World Of Gumball. He will appear in the episode airing next week (Monday May 27th). Sugg will play Azrael, a super-cool ghost from Carrie’s past. Per Cartoon Network: "Joe’s personality and charm lends itself perfectly to voice Azrael as he shares in-jokes and history with Carrie, much to the dismay of her current boyfriend Darwin and Gumball".

Channel 4’s ‘Humans’ Cancelled After Three Seasons

There will be no fourth season for Humans. The Channel 4/AMC co-production has been cancelled after three seasons, TVWise has confirmed. The news comes close to a year after the third season wrapped its run. “Humans will not be returning for another series. The show has had three successful series and has been much loved by fans", a representative of Channel 4 said in a statement. "We are incredibly proud of Humans and the hugely talented creative team, in front of and behind the camera.”

Maisie Williams Set As Guest Judge On BBC Three’s ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’

Coming off of her nearly decade long run as Arya Stark on Game Of Thrones, Maisie Williams has signed on as the first celebrity guest judge for BBC Three's RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Maisie will feature as a celebrity judge for one episode where she will appear alongside RuPaul and Michelle Visage. As previously announced, Graham Norton and Alan Carr will appear as rotating resident judges.

ITV Releases Trailer For Rob Lowe Fronted Police Drama ‘Wild Bill’

ITV has released the trailer for their Rob Lowe fronted police drama Wild Bill, which is set to premiere next month. Wild Bill follows high-flying US cop Bill Hixon, who is appointed Chief Constable of the East Lincolnshire Police Force. When he lands in Boston, Lincolnshire, with his 14 year-old daughter Kelsey in tow, he’s hoping they can flee their painful recent past. But this unfamiliar, unimpressed community will force Bill to question everything about himself and leave him asking whether it’s Boston that needs Bill, or Bill that needs Boston?
