StarzPlay Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Dangerous Liaisons’
StarzPlay - the Starz branded streaming service that is available in the UK via Amazon Prime Video Channels, Virgin Media and Apple TV - has picked up the UK rights to Starz's recently ordered Dangerous Liaisons adaptation. Based on the novel of the same name, Dangerous Liaisons tells the origin story of the early years of the iconic characters Merteuil and Valmont when they meet as passionate young lovers in the slums of 18th century Paris. 

BBC One has ordered Best Interests, a four episode drama series from Jack Thorne (Harry Potter & The Cursed Child, His Dark Materials) and recently launched indie Chapter One Pictures. Best Interests tells the story of a family driven apart by having to make choices no parent would ever want to make. Andrew and Nicci’s daughter, Marnie, has a life-threatening condition. The doctors believe it is in her best interests to be allowed to die, but her loving family disagree. And so begins a fight that will take them through every stage of a legal process, as they struggle to contemplate this huge decision. Who decides? And in whose best interests will it be? 
ITV has handed out a series order to Invisible, a feature-length detective drama series starring Jason Watkins (The Crown, The Lost Honour Of Christopher Jefferies) and Tala Gouveia (Cold Feet). Two episodes have been ordered for the show's first season. 
The third season of American Housewife will receive its UK premiere on UKTV's W channel on Wednesday August 14th at 8pm with a double-bill, it has been announced.
