Sky Atlantic Renews ‘Britannia’ For Season 3

Sky Atlantic has handed out a third season renewal to their period drama Britannia. The pick up comes a couple of month after the show's second season premiered on the channel.

ITV Renews ‘Vera’ For Season 11

Vera isn't going anywhere. Less than a week after the tenth season launched, ITV has renewed the Brenda Blethyn fronted drama series for an eleventh season, TVWise has confirmed. The news was announced yesterday by Blethyn herself at the Television Critics Association press tour. An ITV spokesperson said that production on season 11 would get underway this spring ahead of a 2021 premiere.

BritBox North America Orders ‘Father Brown’ Spin-Off ‘The Sister Boniface Mysteries’

Father Brown is getting a spin-off. Britbox has ordered The Sister Boniface Mysteries, a ten episode drama revolving around the character of Sister Boniface who originally appeared in the first season of Father Brown. Lorna Watson is on-board to reprise her role as the sleuthing nun. It's worth noting that this has only been commissioned for the U.S. arm of BritBox and at present there is no UK broadcaster attached to the project. It is not immediately clear if BBC One, who commission and air parent series Father Brown, will look to acquire the spin-off.

E4 Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Supernatural’ Season 15

E4 is sticking with Supernatural until the end. Mere weeks after TVWise revealed that they had picked up the UK rights to season 14, the Channel 4 owned digi-net has announced that they have also secured the show's fifteenth and final season. E4 said that season 14 would air in 2020, while season 15 would follow "at a later date".

Channel 4 Acquires Fox’s Animated Comedy ‘Duncanville’

Channel 4 has acquired the UK rights to Fox's upcoming animated comedy series Duncanville. The series is distributed internationally by NBCUniversal International Distribution. It will initially air on Channel 4 later this year, and will also get a repeat run on E4.

E4 Acquires UK Rights To ‘Batwoman’ & ‘Harley Quinn’ In Deal With Warner Bros

After months of rumours, Batwoman has found a UK home. E4 has secured the UK rights to the latest Arrowverse show in a deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution. E4 parent Channel 4 said that the series would premiere on the channel in 2020. In addition to Batwoman, this deal with WBITD also gives E4 UK rights to DC Universe's animated Harley Quinn series.

BBC Three Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Shrill’ Season 2, Sets January Premiere

Mere weeks after they launched the show's first season, BBC Three has secured the UK rights to the second season of Hulu's comedy series Shrill from international distributor Warner Bros. International Television Distribution. The show's second season will be available to stream on BBC Three (via the iPlayer) from Saturday January 25th, less than 24 hours behind the U.S. premiere on Hulu.

Sky Atlantic Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Westworld’ Season 3

The third season of Westworld will receive its UK premiere on Sky Atlantic on Monday March 16th at 2am, simulcast with HBO’s east-coast feed. The season premiere will also be repeated later that same day in the show’s regular 9pm time-slot.
