At the Edinburgh Television Festival Channel 4's Chief Creative Officer Jay Hunt announced a wealth of commissions including a one-off drama about Nick Clegg and the formation of the coalition, a ten-part political thriller set in North Korea and a one-off comedy special about the Scottish Independence Referrendum.
BBC Two Orders ‘Stonemouth’ Adaptation, First Transgender Comedy & More
BBC Two has greenlit Stonemouth, a two-part adaptation of the Iain Banks’ novel; and 'Boy Meets Girl', a new comedy series which is being described as "Britain's first transgender sitcom". The channel also announced plans to move Jack Whitehall's 'Back Chat' from BBC Three to BBC Two, as well as commissioning 'The Javone Prince Show' and a pair of factual shows.
