‘Castle’ Scoop: Nathan Fillion Inks New Deal, Stana Katic To Exit?

Castle is now on-track for an eight season after series star Nathan Fillion signed a new deal with ABC and ABC Studios. Talks with his co-lead Stana Katic are still on-going and it is presently unclear if she will return for another season. In addition, David Amann, who took over from Andrew Marlowe as showrunner on season seven, is exiting. A search is now underway for a new showrunner.

‘Homeland’s David Harewood Joins BBC One/AMC Co-Production ‘The Night Manager’

David Harewood, who played CIA Deputy Director David Estes on the first two seasons of the Showtime counter-terrorism drama Homeland, has joined the cast of the BBC One and AMC co-production The Night Manager, which is being toplined by Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston.

UKTV's Dave channel has ordered a one-off special documentary which will examine Al Murray's The Pub Landlord and his bid to win election to parliament in South Thanet; a race that will see him campaigning against UKIP leader Nigel Farage and the candidates run by the other major political parties.

NBC Reverses Course, Plots Return To ‘Emerald City’ With David Schulner

Close to a year after they initially cancelled the project, NBC has once again picked up Wizard Of Oz themed drama Emerald City with a ten episode straight-to-series order. David Schulner replaces original scribe Josh Friedman as executive producer & showrunner and will pen the scripts alongside Matt Arnold.

Comedy Central Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Broad City’, Sets Premiere For April 28th

Comedy Central UK has picked up the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to Broad City, the half-hour comedy from Amy Poehler, Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer which is produced for the US Comedy Central network. The series will premiere on Tuesday April 28th at 10pm.
