After initially slating it for a Summer premiere when they announced the rest of their schedule, FX has announced that the second season of their Guillermo del Toro drama The Strain will kick off on Sunday July 12th at 10/9c. 
Things are looking up for UKTV. The commercial network, which is a joint venture between BBC Worldwide and Scripps Networks Interactive, has unveiled their financial results for 2014 and revealed that revenue had surged to a record high £283 million, up from 2013's £278 million - making UKTV the fastest growing broadcaster in Britain. 
ABC Family is continuing to build the cast for their Mortal Instruments adaptation Shadowhunters. Canadian actress Maxim Roy has joined the cast of the drama series in the recurring role of Jocelyn Fray, the mother of central character Clary Fray. 
The BBC has released the first trailer for the third season of Kay Mellor's lotto drama The Syndicate, which is set to launch on BBC One next month. 
BBC One has teamed up with Happy Valley scribe Sally Wainwright for To Walk Invisible, a one-off drama which will offer a "original perspective on the extraordinary" Bronte sisters, who between them were responsible for such works of literature as Jane Eyre, Agnes Grey and Wuthering Heights. 
Like IFC, FOX is sticking with Will Ferrell's Spoils franchise. FOX UK has snapped up the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to The Spoils Before Dying, the six episode follow up to IFC’s The Spoils Of Babylon which is being toplined by Boardwalk Empire and The Wire star Michael Kenneth Williams.
