After months of negotiations, Gérard Depardieu has officially signed on to play the lead in Marseille, Netflix's upcoming eight episode original series which is being hailed as a tale of power, corruption and redemption set against the rich backdrop of the French port city. 
HBO has renewed their Dwayne Johnson comedy vehicle Ballers for a ten episode second season, only three episodes into the show's first season. The network has not yet decided on the fates of either True Detective or The Brink.

Showtime has unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming 12 episode fifth season of Homeland, which is set to premiere this fall. The fifth season of the CIA drama will be set two years after season four, following Carrie’s ill-fated tenure as CIA station chief in Islamabad, Pakistan. Struggling to reconcile her guilt and disillusionment with years of working on the front lines in the “war on terror,” Carrie finds herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working for a private security firm.
