Former Law & Order and Crossing Jordan star Jill Hennessy has booked a recurring role on CBS' Téa Leoni fronted State Department drama Madam Secretary, TVWise has learned. She will play Jane Fellows, Henry's (Tim Daly) new Defense Intelligence Agency handler, who is a commanding yet discreet political operator known for keeping cool in a crisis and who may not always see eye to eye with him. 
Hawaii Five-0 and Grimm alum Brian Tee has joined the cast of NBC's Chicago Fire spin-off Chicago Med as a series regular. Tee, who starred in Fox pilot Love Is A Four-Letter Word, will play a resident at the hospital who found his calling in medicine after several tours of duty as an Army medic. 
ABC is continuing to build the cast for Quantico. Mere days after the network announced that Private Practice and Cougar Town star Josh Hopkins had joined the cast as series regular, The Flash's Rick Cosnett has been tapped for a recurring role in the FBI drama, TVWise has learned. 
The BBC has tapped industry veteran Peter Salmon to run their new production division BBC Studios, the corporation announced on Monday. He will take up post as the first Director of BBC Studios later this year. 
Channel 5 is adding to their factual commissioning team. The Viacom owned broadcaster has poached BBC exec Sean Doyle, who most recently served as the corporation's Head of Development for Daytime and Features, and appointed him as Commissioning Editor, Factual. 
The Americans are returning to the UK. ITV Encore has closed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution to acquire the exclusive UK broadcast rights to FX's Cold War era spy drama The Americans, TVWise has learned. ITV Encore's deal with Fox covers both the third season and recently ordered fourth season.
