TNT Renews ‘The Last Ship’ For Third Season
TNT has renewed genre series The Last Ship for a third season, TVWise has learned. The network has ordered 13 episodes for the show's third season, matching the size of the order for season two. Season three is expected to premiere next Summer. 
During the network's executive panel at the TCAs, Showtime's President of Entertainment David Nevins announced that Ray Donovan and Masters Of Sex have been renewed, Twin Peaks is on track for a 2016 premiere, the network has ordered a drama pilot from Common, a comedy pilot from Jim Carrey, a limited series based on Patti Smith's memoir & more. 
Shameless star David Threlfall has joined the cast of Victorian era period drama Ripper Street as a series regular for its upcoming fourth season, TVWise has learned. Production on the fourth season is now underway in Dublin for a late 2015 premiere on Amazon Prime Instant Video UK.
TV Land is calling time on their last multi-camera sitcom. The network has cancelled The Exes after airing four-seasons of the comedy series created by Mark Reisman, TVWise has confirmed.
Cinemax is adding six actors to the cast of Outcast. Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Catherine Dent (Gang Related), Lee Tergesen (Defiance), Grace Zabriskie (Big Love) and Melinda McGraw (State Of Affairs) have been tapped to recurring roles on the eight episode exorcism series from The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. David Denman (The Office) has also boarded as a regular.
Comedy Central UK is celebrating the 21st anniversary of Friends in a big way. The VIMN backed channel has announced that to mark the 21st anniversary of the series premiere of Friends on NBC in 1994, they will air all 236 episodes of the ground-breaking sitcom in order, from the pilot all the way through to the series finale, beginning on Monday August 24th.
UKTV's Dave channel has handed out a two-season renewal to Dave Gorman: Modern Life Is Goodish. The two year pickup, which consists of an order for two eight episode seasons, will see the series through to its fifth season. Notably, this is the second two-season renewal in a row for the show, after UKTV
