Andrew Baker Joins Drive As Non-Executive Director

Andrew BakerFormer Granada Television and ITV exec Andrew Baker has joined co-production and deficit financing company Drive as a non-executive director, TVWise has learned. Drive was Founded in 2013 by Ben Barrett and Lilla Hurst to facilitate the production funding process by providing consultancy services and sourcing finance for TV projects. Baker's role as non-exec director will see him work closely with both execs, advising on a range of strategic and commercial objectives and opportunities.

Syfy Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Lost Girl’ Season 5, Sets October Premiere

Lost Girl - Season 3Lost Girl's final season is coming to the UK. Syfy UK has acquired the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to the show's 16 episode final run after striking a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television, TVWise has learned. The final season will premiere on Syfy UK on Tuesday October 13th at 9pm.

Ovation Hands Acquisitions Role To Lori Hall

Lori HallOvation has promoted long-time executive Lori Hall to the position of Vice President, Program Planning, Scheduling and Acquisitions. In her new role, Hall will assume responsibility for program acquisitions for the arts focussed cable network. She will also continue to be responsible for program scheduling. Hall will continue to report to Scott Woodward, Executive Vice-President of Programming and Productions for Ovation.

ITV’s ‘Safe House’ Renewed For Second Season

Safe HouseITV has picked up a second season of their "event series" Safe House starring Christopher Eccelston (Fortitude), Marsha Thomason (White Collar) and Paterson Joseph (Law & Order: UK). Four episodes have been ordered for season two, which is set to enter production in the Lake District in February 2016.

AMC Hands Out Series Order To ‘Preacher’ Adaptation
