David Schwimmer Joins Julia Davis’ Channel 4 Comedy ‘Morning Has Broken’

David Schwimmer - Web TherapyFriends star David Schwimmer has signed on for a starring role in Morning Has Broken, Channel 4's new six episode comedy series from Hunderby creator Julia Davis and Drifters star Nick Mohammed. Schwimmer will play an American producer brought in to try and save the floundering morning show presented by Gail Sinclair (Davis).

Roisin Conaty’s ‘GameFace’ Picked Up To Series At E4

Roisin ConatyE4 is moving forward with GameFace. The C4 owned digi-net has handed out a six episode series order to the comedy from rising star Roisin Conaty, TVWise has learned. The comedy was originally piloted last year as part of Channel 4's 4Funnies strand, which is used as a potential breeding ground for new series, with the pilot subsequently airing in April 2014 to solid reviews.

Syfy UK Acquires ‘Stormageddon’, ‘The X-Files: I Want To Believe’ & ‘Scavengers’

Syfy UK is adding three films to their line-up for November. The NBCU backed broadcaster has acquired the UK broadcast rights to disaster movie Stormageddon, sci-fi feature film Scavengers and the second The X-Files feature film I Want To Believe after agreeing deals with a number of distributors. Stormageddon and Scavengers have never aired on UK television before, while The X-Files: I Want To Believe has aired numerous times on Sky Movies and Channel 4.

Channel 4 Renews ‘Man Down’ For Third Season

Man DownChannel 4 has renewed their comedy series Man Down, created by and starring Greg Davies, for a third season TVWise has learned. Six episodes have been ordered for the show's third season, which is expected to air in 2016.
