AMC Renews ‘Halt & Catch Fire’ For Third Season With New Showrunners In Place
AMC has renewed their 1980s tech drama Halt & Catch Fire for a third season, TVWise has learned. 10 episodes have been ordered for the show's third season, which is expected to debut in 2016. 
FX has handed out a 10 episode third season renewal to their geo-political thriller series Tyrant, from Howard Gordon, Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.
CBC and production company Shaftesbury Films have released a trailer and first look image showing Star Trek star William Shatner in character as Mark Twain from an upcoming episode of period drama Murdoch Mysteries.
Watch's latest high-profile U.S. drama acquisition is getting a major advertising push. Parent company UKTV is to roll out a promo for the Marica Gay Harden fronted medical drama Code Black across all ten of their channels and on-demand platform UKTV Play, TVWise has learned. 

Vimeo is officially moving into original programming. After testing the waters with a number of projects over the past couple of years, the video-on-demand platform is upping their level of investment and has unveiled their first ever slate of original programming. Said slate includes three programmes: the second season of The Outs; Darby Forever, a short film from Saturday Night Live alum Aidy Bryant; and Bianca Del Rio’s Rolodex of Hate Comedy Special: Live from Austin.
PBS America is going free-to-air. The UK arm of the US public broadcaster will be made available on Freesat channel 160 as of Saturday October 31st, TVWise has learned.
