UKTV To Expand Apprenticeship Scheme, Teams With Creative Skillset For Open Doors Event

UKTV is expanding their apprenticeship scheme. CEO Darren Childs has announced plans to increase the number of apprentices at the media company to 3% of their total work-force by 2016. Additionally, UKTV has teamed up with Creative Skillset to host a Open Doors event for 16-24 year olds who want to learn about the television industry.

Fox Developing Marvel Drama ‘Hellfire’ From ’24’ & ‘Star Trek’ Alums

FoxWith DC drama Lucifer pencilled in for midseason, Fox has set their sights on a Marvel project for the 2016-2017 season. RoadiesShowtime has handed out a 10 episode series to Roadies, the half-hour comedy project from Cameron Crowe, Winnie Holzman And J.J. Abrams, TVWise has learned. The episode comedy series is expected to premiere on Showtime in 2016.

TV Land Sets Premiere Dates For ‘Younger’ Season 2, New Comedy ‘Teachers’

Younger (FT)TV Land has announced that the second season of their single camera comedy series Younger - which was just acquired for UK broadcast by Sony Entertainment Television - will premiere on Tuesday January 12th at 10/9c with a double-bill; while new comedy series Teachers will follows on Tuesday January 12th at 11/10c, before segueing to its regular 10:30pm time-slot the following week.

UKTV Unveils Festive Rebrands For Gold & Good Food

UKTV is giving two of their channels festive rebrands. The commercial network has announced plans to rebrand both flagship comedy channel Gold and lifestyle channel Good Food for the festive period. From December 1st through January 3rd Gold will be known as Christmas Gold and Good Food will be known as Christmas Food.
