It’s Official: Sony Entertainment Television Acquires ‘Younger’ & ‘Hot In Cleveland’ Season 6
Earlier this month TVWise broke the news that Sony Entertainment Television had acquired the UK rights to TV Land's new single-camera comedy series Younger and the final season of Hot In Cleveland in a deal with Endemol Shine International. The broadcaster confirmed that today by formally announcing the pick-ups, revealing that both series will debut in November as part of a Wednesday night comedy-block. 
Babylon and Humans star Jill Halfpenny has been cast in a guest starring role in the upcoming fifth season of BBC One's rating hit Death In Paradise, TVWise has learned. Precise details of the character Jill Halfpenny will be playing are being kept firmly under wraps. 
Cinemax has released the first trailer for their long-gestating 1970s drama series Quarry, which is set to premiere in 2016. 
A&E is delaying the launch of the former CBS drama Unforgettable by two weeks. After initially announcing a mid-November premiere, the network has announced that the show's fourth season will now premiere on Friday November 27th at 8/7c with a double-bill. 
Defiance has run its course at Syfy. The NBCU owned cable network has cancelled their flagship original drama after three seasons, TVWise has learned. 
Channel 5 has acquired the UK broadcast rights to MTV's drama series Teen Wolf for their digi-net 5* after striking a deal with MGM Television, TVWise has learned. The show's 12 episode first season will premiere on 5* on Tuesday October 27th at 9pm, with a double-bill.
