BBC One Sets Premiere Date For ‘Capital’
BBC One's new three part drama Capital will premiere on Tuesday November 24th at 9pm, it has been announced. Anna Friel Set As Lead In ITV’s ‘Marcella’, Jamie Bamber & Laura Carmichael Also Cast
ITV has set the core cast for Marcella. Anna Friel, who most recently starred in NBC's thriller series American Odyssey (pictured), has been tapped to play the lead in the eight episode cop drama from Broen (AKA The Bridge) creator Hans Rosenfeld, TVWise has learned. There's been a behind the scene shake-up on ABC's The Muppets. Co-creator Bob Kushell is exiting as executive producer and showrunner amidst conflicts with fellow co-creator Bill Prady over the creative direction of the Tuesday night comedy, TVWise has learned. USA Network has firmed up their schedule for early next year. The NBCU owned cable network has announced that Suits will return with the final six episodes of its fifth season from Wednesday January 27th at 10/9c. USA has also confirmed that their Josh Holloway fronted sci-fi series Colony, which hails from Carlton Cuse, will kick off its ten episode run on Thursday January 14th at 10/9c. After months of rumours, Amazon today confirmed that they have handed out a ten episode series order to Sneaky Pete, the drama starring Giovanni Ribisi (Avatar) which was created by Breaking Bad alum Bryan Cranston and House showrunner David Shore. NBC Orders 1 Additional Episode For ‘Law & Order: SVU’, ‘Blindspot, ‘Chicago Fire’ & ‘Chicago P.D.’
NBC is beefing up on four of their hit drama series. The network has ordered one additional episode apiece for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, freshman thriller Blindspot, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D., TVWise has learned. Each of those four series will now produce 23 episodes this season.
