UKTV’s Commercial Share Surges In 2016; Audience Share & VOD Views Also Up
This year is shaping up quite nicely for UKTV. In their just-released 2016 interim results, the company has revealed that their SOCI (Share Of Commercial Impacts), as well as audience share and VOD viewership have all grown significantly in the first six months of the year. 
TruTV is continuing their push into scripted comedy. The network has handed out an eight episode series order to anthology comedy series Bobcat Goldthwait's Messed Up Stories. The announcement will be made later today at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour.
After previously teasing the series with a short glimpse of Jenna Coleman in character as Queen Victoria, ITV has now released a full trailer for their upcoming eight episode royal drama Victoria, which is set to premiere this Autumn. The new trailer shows Victoria (Jenna Coleman) as she learns of the death of her father and faces the daunting prospect of ascending to the throne at a very young age. It also teases somehting of a show-down between the young monarch and her first Prime Minister, Lord Melbourne (Rufus Sewell).
Jon Huertas, who starred in all eight seasons of Castle as Detective Esposito, has been tapped for a recurring role on NBC's upcoming drama series This Is Us, which hails from Dan Fogelman and 20th Century Fox Television.
Sky1 has released a number of first look-teaser images from their upcoming eight episode action-adventure drama series Hooten & The Lady, starring Michael Landes (CSI) and Ophelia Lovibond (Elementary), which is set to premiere this September.

TBS is adding to their comedy slate. The Turner owned cable network, which is focussed on comedy, has put Think B.I.G., a half-hour project based on the lyrics by Notorious B.I.G. into development; and ordered ten episode digital animated comedy series Storyville, TVWise has learned.
Actor turned political radio talk show host Jerry Doyle passed away at his Las Vegas home on Wednesday July 28th at the age of 60. The cause of death is not yet known, though an autopsy is expected in the coming days.
