USA Network has renewed their long running legal dramedy Suits for a sixteen episode seventh season, TVWise has learned. The announcement was made today during the network's panel at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour. 
The Mindy Project has lost its UK broadcaster. E4, who originally acquired the Fox turned Hulu comedy in 2012 in a multi-season deal with international distributor NBCUniversal International Distribution, has opted not to pick up the any further seasons of the Mindy Kaling fronted series, TVWise has confirmed. The channel aired the first three seasons between 2013 and 2015. 
Sky1 and Amazon Prime Video US are teaming up to co-produce Britannia, a ten part drama series set during the Roman Empire starring Kelly Reilly (Sherlock Holmes), Zoë Wanamaker (Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone) and David Morrissey (The Walking Dead). 
AT&T's Audience Network has handed out a ten episode straight to series order to Ice, a drama series about the treacherous and colorful world of diamond traders in downtown Los Angeles from independent studio Entertainment One (eOne) and Antoine Fuqua’s Fuqua Films, TVWise has learned. 
Houdini & Doyle - the three way co-production between ITV Encore here in the UK, Fox in the United States and Global in Canada - has been cancelled after one single ten episode season, TVWise has confirmed. 
NBC is adding to their drama development slate with two new projects from heady auspices: Salvation, from Law & Order veteran Warren Leight and Walker, Texas Ranger creator Paul Haggis; and Waking Lions from Homeland executive producer Gideon Raff. 
Jonathan Creek is returning to BBC One. The corporation's flagship channel has ordered a one-off 90 minute special, in which Jonathan Creek will find himself in "real danger". Alan Davies and Sarah Alexander are both on-board to reprise their roles as Jonathan Creek and Polly Creek, respectively.
