Food Network Renews ‘Paul Hollywood City Bakes’ For Second Season
After smashing ratings records, Paul Hollywood City Bakes has been picked up for a second season by Food Network. The Scripps owned channel has ordered ten episodes for season two, with the format being extended from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. 
Prison Break alum Robert Knepper has been tapped for a recurring role on the sixth season of Showtime's CIA drama Homeland. Knepper will play General Jamie McClendon, the Department of Defense representative who is tasked with briefing the president-elect.
Halfway through the show's second season, USA Network has picked up their critically acclaimed drama series Mr. Robot for a third season. The size of the episode order has not yet been set.
True Blood star Anna Paquin has signed on for a co-starring role opposite Sarah Gadon in Alias Grace, the six episode miniseries adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s novel which is set up as a co-production between Netflix and Canadian public broadcaster CBC. She will play Nancy Montgomery, who is Kinnear’s housekeeper and lover, and while she initially befriends Grace, she begins to resent Grace and becomes increasingly jealous of Kinnear’s affection for her. Nancy eventually fires Grace in a fit of rage and is later found brutally murdered.
Amazon has handed out a ten episode series order to their long-gestating Jack Ryan drama, starring John Krasinski (The Office), which hails from Paramount Television and Bates Motel showrunner Carlton Cuse. The streaming service first put the project into development in late 2015.

Amanda Redman (New Tricks) and Amrita Acharia (Game Of Thrones) have been set as the leads in The Good Karma Hospital, ITV's six-part medical drama from Mr Selfridge scribe Dan Sefton and independent production company Tiger Aspect Productions. The series is set in a coastal town in tropical South India and follows a team of British and Indian medics as they cope with work, life and love at the “Good Karma”.
Gail Pinkerton has joined ITV Studios' entertainment label Possessed as their new Head of Production. She takes up post this month and will be responsible for overseeing the company's slate of productions. She will report to Possessed Managing Director Glenn Hugill.
