Syfy Renews ‘Van Helsing’ For Second Season

Syfy has renewed co-production Van Helsing for a second season, it was announced today by Nomadic Pictures and international distributor Dynamic Television. The renewal, which comes a mere for weeks into the show's first season, is for a further 13 episodes, which are expected to air in 2017.

Delroy Lindo Joins ‘The Good Wife’ Spin-Off As Series Regular

Lindo will play Robert Boseman, an attorney who starts poaching Diane Lockhart’s associates and clients when she gets into financial trouble, and threatens her ability to stay in business. He joins Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo, Sarah Steele and Rose Leslie in the main cast.

Sid Gentle Films Ltd - the indie behind ITV's The Durrells and BBC One's upcoming SS-GB - is developing a TV series based on the series of novels by Elizabeth Jane Howard after acquiring the rights to all five books, TVWise has learned.

Dancing Ledge Productions Acquires TV Rights To Alistair Maclean Novels, Tony Marchant To Adapt San Andreas

san-andreasDancing Ledge Productions has inked a deal with HarperCollins to acquire the TV rights to Alistar Maclean's series of novels, TVWise has learned. The first novel being adapted under this deal is San Andreas, a thriller set on board a torpedoed WW2 hospital ship as it attempts to make its way back across the North Atlantic to Scotland while a saboteur picks off members of the crew. The Secret Agent scribe Tony Marchant is attached to pen the script.

UKTV’s Dave Channel Renews ‘Crackanory’ For Fourth Season

Crackanory is continuing its run on Dave. The UKTV owned and operated channel has renewed the hit series for an eight episode fourth season, TVWise has learned. Alongside the fourth season renewal, Dave has announced a slight change to the format of the series, with see just one narrator per episode reading an extended story, after the first three seasons featured two stories per episode.

‘Lethal Weapon’ Gets Full Season Order At Fox

Lethal WeaponFresh off of a decent ratings performance across its first three weeks on-air, Fox has handed out a "full season" order to freshman drama series Lethal Weapon. The back order is for a further five episodes, bringing the total number of episodes ordered for season one to eighteen.
