EXCLUSIVE: ‘The Portrait Of A Lady’ Adaptation Lands At BBC
EXCLUSIVE: The Portrait Of A Lady is inching closer to the small screen. I'm hearing that the TV adaptation of the Henry James novel, which Red Production Company and Number 9 Films announced they were developing close to a year ago, has now landed at the BBC. It's not immediately clear if it's eyed for a spot on BBC One or BBC Two. In addition to landing at the Beeb for further development, my sources tell me that Secret Diary Of A Call Girl scribe Rebecca Lenkiewicz has also come on-board to pen the script for this adaptation. 
BBC Two has released a trailer for their upcoming three-part drama Paula, which is set to premiere later this month.
Here's a nice bit of cross-company casting. Dove Cameron, the star of Disney Channel's U.S. series Liv And Maddie and Descendants, has signed on for a recurring role on the upcoming second season of Disney Channel UK's original series The Lodge. She will play Jess, a sporty girl who lives locally to The Lodge who has been training for a big mountain biking championship.
One of the hottest miniseries on the international market has secured a UK deal. The Kennedys sequel After Camelot, starring Matthew Perry (The Good Fight) and Katie Holmes (The Kennedys) has been snapped up on this side of the pond by Channel 5 after they agreed a deal with international distributor Muse Distribution International, TVWise has learned.
Michael Jackson movie Searching For Neverland will receive its UK premiere on Lifetime UK on Sunday June 25th at 9pm, it has been announced.
