Amazon Prime Video is bringing Amazon Channels to the UK. The service, which has been available in the United States for quite some time, allows prime subscribers to add individual channel subscriptions to their Prime VOD service for a small monthly fee, without the need for a bundle or long-term subscription. 
Bull is heading to free-to-air. Channel 5 has secured the FTA rights to the CBS series, which was recently renewed for a second season, for their digi-net 5USA after striking a deal with international distributor CBS Studios International, TVWise has learned. 
The story of the downfall of Liberal leader Jeremy Thorpe is coming to the BBC. The corporation's flagship channel BBC One has given the green-light to A Very English Scandal, a three-part drama based on the book of the same name by John Preston which tells the true story of the Thorpe Affair. In his first role in a British television production in more than two decades, Hugh Grant (Four Weddings And A Funeral, About A Boy) has signed on to play the late Liberal leader. 
ABC's Dirty Dancing reboot is coming to the UK. Channel 5 has secured the exclusive UK broadcast rights to the three-hour TV movie/special after agreeing a deal with international distributor Lionsgate Television, TVWise has learned. 
EXCLUSIVE: The reports of Ransom's demise have been greatly exaggerated. Despite a flurry of media reports that CBS had axed the Luke Roberts fronted show, sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell me that it has in fact NOT been cancelled. I'm hearing that CBS has not made a decision one way or another and Ransom remains in contention for a second season pick up. 
During their upfront presentation in New York City, CBS dropped the first full trailer for the upcoming Star Trek: Discovery, which is presently eyed for a September premiere on CBS All Access in the US and Netflix in all other territories (including the UK). 
HBO's Bernie Madoff film The Wizard Of Lies will receive its UK premiere on Sky Atlantic on Thursday June 1st at 9pm, it has been announced.
