SYFY UK Acquires Electric Entertainment’s Fantasy Series ‘The Outpost’
SYFY UK has secured the exclusive UK rights to The Outpost, a new ten episode fantasy adventure series from Jonathan Glassner - who developed Stargate SG-1 for television - and Dean Devlin's Electric Entertainment. The show's first season is expected to premiere on the genre channel later this year. 
Sky One has decided not to order a second season of their mystery series Agatha Raisin, TVWise has confirmed. Despite this, Acorn TV has stepped up to fully commission a second season for their streaming service in the United States.
ITV has given the green-light to Anne, a four-part drama about one mother's campaign for justice following her son’s death at Hillsborough in 1989, which hails from Line Of Duty indie World Productions.
The third season of Hulu's drama series The Path will receive its UK premiere on Amazon Prime Video UK on Thursday January 18th, when the first two episodes will be available to stream. New episodes will continue to be made available every Thursday, less than 24 hours after they initially unspool on Hulu in the United States, through to the season finale in early April.
The second season of NBC's drama series Taken will receive its UK premiere on Amazon Prime Video UK tomorrow (Saturday January 13th), it has been announced. New episodes will continue to be made available every Saturday, less than 24 hours after they initially air on NBC in the United States.
Drama is adding another exclusive acquisition to their line up. The UKTV owned and operated channel has secured the UK rights to both seasons of Australian media drama The Heart Guy (AKA Doctor Doctor) after striking deal with international distributor FremantleMedia International. The series will premiere on Drama on Thursday April 5th at 9pm.
The seventh season of Call The Midwife will premiere on BBC One on Sunday January 21st at 8pm, it has been announced.
