Channel 4 Orders Weight Loss Pilot ‘The Slim Reaper’

Channel 4 has handed out a broadcast pilot order to The Slim Reaper, a factual entertainment format featuring Russian weight-loss guru and ‘detox diva’ Galia Grainger. The Slim Reaper focusses on Grainger's ‘Slimmeria’ centre, a Grade II-listed Georgian mansion in the rolling Sussex countryside where people come to lose weight. Grainger claims that, by following her Russian grandmother’s healthy-eating rules, she can help her clients to lose a stone in seven days.

ITV has given the greenlight to The Real Camilla: HRH The Duchess Of Cornwall, a one-off hour-long documentary film from independent production company Spun Gold.

BT TV To Preview ‘The Terror’ Series Premiere On YouTube

BT TV - who hold the exclusive carriage agreement for AMC Global here in the UK - has announced plans to preview the series premiere of the channel's newest import, The Terror, on YouTube. For 24 hours, from 00:01am on Tuesday April 24th, the opening episode will be available free of charge on BT's YouTube channel; marking the first time that a pay TV show has launched in the UK on YouTube before it has been broadcast on television. The first two episodes of The Terror will then be broadcast on AMC Global later that day in its regular 9pm time-slot

Ordeal By Innocence is heading overseas. Endeavour Content has racked up a slew of deals for BBC One's Agatha Christie adaptation with a range of international broadcasters including the ABC in Australia, Canal+ in France, TV4 in Sweden, TV2 in Norway and MTV3 in Finland. BBC Studios has taken rights for its BBC First channels across the Middle East, Africa and the Benelux regions.

Channel 4 has handed out a pilot order to Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back, a factual entertainment format that will see the comedian helping out the British public with all their consumer complaints. Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back will cover a range of consumer gripes, feature stories relating to consumer issues and go undercover in Joe‘s quest for consumer justice. In addition to Lycett, the show will feature consumer expert Katie Morley and tech expert Mark Silcox in the studio.
