BBC Two Renews ‘Million Pound Menu’ For Second Season
BBC Two has handed out a second season renewal to restaurant investment series Million Pound Menu. Six episodes have been ordered for the show's second season. "Million Pound Menu taps into a real world of wannabe entrepreneurs and life changing investments", said BBC Two Controller Patrick Holland. "We saw enough from series one to know that this is a format that could really flourish on the channel."

Channel 4 has given the greenlight to Mission Ignition, a new four episode car series that is being fronted by Take That's Howard Donald and racing driver Dario Franchitti. Mission Ignition will give two teams of amateur car enthusiasts the opportunity to drive off in their dream car - however they’ll have to rebuild it first. Donald and Franchittio will each lead a team of passionate petrol heads, guiding them to the finish line and hopefully the win. 

BBC Two has given the greenlight to This Is Going To Hurt, an eight episode comedy drama adaptation of the bestselling diaries of junior doctor Adam Kay. This Is Going To Hurt tells the unvarnished truth of life as a junior doctor: the 97-hour weeks, the life and death decisions, the constant tsunami of bodily fluids and the fact the hospital parking meter earns more than you. Set on labour ward, the series delivers a brutally honest depiction of life as a junior doctor on the wards, and the toll the job can take back home.
Sky One is adding to the cast of Jamestown. Ben Batt (In The Dark, Shameless) has joined the cast of the period drama about the first British settler in America for its third season, which is now filming in Budapest for a 2019 premiere. He will play enigmatic trader Willmus Crabtree.
Disney Channel has set the cast for Sadie Sparks. Georgia Lock (The Evermoor Chronicles, Friday Download), Rufus Hound (Argumental, Celebrity Juice) and Craig Revel-Horwood (Strictly Come Dancing, Annie) have signed on for starring roles in the animated series.
