Comedy Central Play VOD App Launches In The UK
Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has launched VOD app Comedy Central Play in the UK as of today (Tuesday July 31st). It comes after VIMN announced back in May that they were teaming with Virgin Media to launch fellow VOD app Nick Play in the UK. Comedy Central Play will give users access Comedy Central’s back-catalogue of short form content, whilst Virgin Media customers will additionally be able to unlock and watch a wide selection of Comedy Central’s full-length episodes on-demand. Popular titles available on the app include The Daily Show, Inside Amy Schumer, Corporate, Takeshi’s Castle, Most Ridiculous and The Roast of Donald Trump. The Cry is crossing the pond. International distributor DRG has pre-sold The Cry, BBC One's upcoming Scotland-set four-part drama starring Jenna Coleman (Victoria) and Ewen Leslie (Top Of The Lake), to AMC Networks' streaming service Sundance Now in the United States.
