Channel 5 Continues Drama Push With ‘Clink’, ’15 Days’ & Feature-Length Murder Mystery
Channel 5 is moving forward with their push into scripted drama. Fresh off of ordering four-part drama Cold Call and acquiring the Adrian Dunbar fronted Blood, the VIMN backed broadcaster has green-lit Clink, 15 Days and a new feature-length murder mystery. The drama push was a big factor in the recent decision to cancel Big Brother, which has freed up a significant amount of cash from the programming budget for said push. 
Sky Atlantic has released two first look images from the upcoming second season of Tin Star, which is set to premiere in 2019. 
The eighth and final season of Castle will premiere on 5USA on Wednesday October 3rd at 9pm, it has been announced. 
In a heated situation with multiple parties bidding, The Cry indie Synchronicity Films has secured the rights to Heather Morris’ novel The Tattooist Of Auschwitz, with plans to adapt it as a "high-end" international drama series. The indie has already set Jacquelin Perske, who was behind their adaptation of The Cry, to adapt The Tattooist Of Auschwitz for television. The series is planned to be ready for broadcast in January 2020, to tie in with the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
BBC One's four-part drama The Cry will premiere on Sunday September 30th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Jetpack Distribution is addition two of CHF Media Group's pre-school series. The kids distributor has secured the international distribution rights to Pip Ahoy! and Daisy & Ollie.
