‘The Good Fight’ Adds Michael Sheen For Season 3

Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon, Masters Of Sex) has joined the cast of CBS All Access' The Good Wife spin-off The Good Fight for its upcoming third season, which is currently filming ahead of an early 2019 premiere. The series airs on this side of the pond on the Channel 4 owned digi-net More4. Sheen will play Roland Blum, a brilliant, charismatic and Machiavellian lawyer. He is a man of appetites - drugs, sex, you name it - who's far more interested in winning than the niceties of following the law.

USA Network has picked up a second season of The Purge, their hour-long drama series based on the movie franchise of the same name from Blumhouse Television. The renewal comes mere hours before the show's first season finale is set to air on the network. Amazon Prime Video is the UK broadcaster.

ABC Hands Out Full Season Order To ‘The Rookie’

ABC has handed out a full-season order to their new Nathan Fillion fronted drama The Rookie, the network announced on Monday. The back order is for seven episodes, bringing the show's first season to twenty episodes. While the series has yet to premiere on this side of the pond, Sky Witness secured the UK rights last month in a deal with international distributor Entertainment One (eOne).

‘Deadwood’ Movie Starts Filming; HBO Releases Official Synopsis

More than a decade after the series was cancelled and the notion of wrapping the show with a pair of movies was floated, HBO today announced that production is now underway on the Deadwood movie. The premium cable network said that the movie will continue the story of the HBO original series that produced 36 episodes between 2004 and 2006. Filming is taking place in Los Angeles ahead of a 2019 premiere.
