BBC One's The Victim has broken consolidated ratings records, with each episode of the series averaging an uplift of 82% across all platforms in the seven days since the initial broadcast. The marks the largest uplift (compared to VOSDAL) for a BBC One or ITV drama since records began.

Molly Windsor (Three Girls, Cheat), Laura Fraser (The Missing, Breaking Bad) and Jennifer Spence (You Me Her, Travelers) have been set as the leads in Traces, Alibi's six episode drama series from Val McDermid, Amelia Bulimore and Red Production Company. Rounding out the cast is Martin Compston (Line Of Duty), Laurie Brett (EastEnders), Vincent Regan (Delicious, The White Princess), Michael Nardone (Shetland, Silent Witness) and John Gordan Sinclair (Marple, Ill Behaviour).

UKTV SOCI Hits 9.53% In 2019, ‘Hypothetical’ Ranks As Network’s Top Rated Show

2019 is shaping up to be a good year for UKTV. Year-to-date, the broadcaster's SOCI (share of commercial impacts) has hit 9.53%, up 3% compared to 2018. SOCI for the 16-34 demo also is showing strong growth, up 6% year-on-year to 6.74%. A key driving force behind the SOCI growth was the performance of UKTV's original series. Dave's Hypothetical, featuring James Acaster and Josh Widdicombe, launched with 1.2 million viewers - making it UKTV's top rated show of 2019.

BBC One Orders Rob Beckett Fronted Quiz Show ‘Head Hunters’ For Daytime Schedule

BBC One has ordered Head Hunters, a new quiz show fronted by Rob Beckett, for their daytime schedule. The series sees three ‘Head Hunters’ emerge from a ‘Talent Pool’ of twenty quizzers, following quick qualifying questions. To win the rolling jackpot at the end of each show, a winning Head Hunter must answer a question correctly from nine very different categories, in just 90 seconds.

My5 Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Being Mary Jane’ Finale, Sets Premiere For May 1st

Channel 5's VOD service My5 has picked up the exclusive UK rights to the two-hour Being Mary Jane finale. International rights to the series, which previously aired on this side of the pond on BET International, are controlled by Channel 5's parent company Viacom. The two-hour finale, as well as the previous four seasons of the show, will be available on My5 from Wednesday May 1st.
